Eligibility Criteria – CSIR-NIO Technical Assistant 2025
Age Limit
- Upper age limit: 28 years (as on December 2, 2025).
- Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. of India norms.
Educational Qualification & Experience
Option 1:
- 3-year Diploma (or 2-year lateral entry) in relevant Engineering discipline with minimum 60% marks and 2 years of experience.
Option 2:
- B.Sc. degree in relevant Science subject with minimum 60% marks and 1-year experience or 1-year professional qualification.
Example:
· TA04 – B.Sc. with Archaeology / Geology
· TA06 – B.Sc. Computer Science / BCA
· TA09 – B.Sc. Biology / Life Science
· TA10 – B.Sc. Chemistry
· TA11 – B.Sc. Geology / Survey
Selection Process – CSIR-NIO Recruitment 2025
The CSIR-NIO selection process will consist of the following stages:
1. Written Test: Objective-type exam testing technical and general aptitude.
2. Skill/Trade Test: Conducted for specific technical posts to assess practical knowledge.
The final merit list will be based on candidates’ performance in these tests.

Selected candidates will be appointed at Pay Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) under the 7th CPC.
