Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science / Library & Information Science
- Basic Computer Knowledge (as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules)
- Knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
Citizenship
- Must be an Indian citizen (as per Gujarat Govt rules)

Library Clerk (Class-3)
- First 5 Years: ₹26,000/- (Fixed)
- After 5 Years: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (Level-2)
Assistant Librarian (Class-3)
- First 5 Years: ₹26,000/- (Fixed)
- After 5 Years: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 (Level-4)

- Written Competitive Examination (CBRT / OMR)
- Total Marks: 210
- Duration: 3 Hours
- Negative Marking: ¼ mark
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% in each part
