Short Information:

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the public notice for the 21st Edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) scheduled to be held on 08th February 2026 (Sunday). The CTET 2026 exam will be conducted in 20 languages across 132 cities throughout India.

The CTET is a national-level eligibility test for aspiring teachers who wish to teach in Central Government Schools such as KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, and other schools under the administrative control of UTs and States.

For Paper I (Primary Stage: Classes I–V)

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
    OR

  • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed (as per NCTE Regulations 2002).
    OR

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
    OR

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
    OR

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

For Paper II (Elementary Stage: Classes VI–VIII)

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed.
    OR

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed.
    OR

  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed (as per NCTE norms).
    OR

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed.
