SSC CGL Recruitment 2025

Short Information: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC CGL 2025 Notification on 9th June 2025 for recruitment to approx. 14,582 vacancies across multiple ministries and departments of the Government of India. This is a golden opportunity for graduates aiming for stable government jobs under Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ categories.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification (as on 01.08.2025):

• For all posts (except below): Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Junior Statistical Officer (JSO):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with 60% marks in Maths at 12th level, OR
  • Degree with Statistics as one of the subjects.
• Statistical Investigator Grade-II:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as a subject in all years/semesters.

Note: Final year students can apply, but they must have their degree before 01 August 2025.

Post-Wise Pay Level & Age Limit:

Exam Scheme:

✅ Tier-I: (CBT – Objective Type)

• General Intelligence & Reasoning – 25 Qs – 50 Marks
• General Awareness – 25 Qs – 50 Marks
• Quantitative Aptitude – 25 Qs – 50 Marks
• English Comprehension – 25 Qs – 50 Marks
• Duration: 1 hour (1 hour 20 mins for eligible PwBD)

✅ Tier-II: (CBT – Objective + Skill Test)

• Paper-I (Mandatory for all):
  • Mathematical Abilities (30 Qs)
  • Reasoning (30 Qs)
  • English (45 Qs)
  • General Awareness (25 Qs)
  • Computer Knowledge (20 Qs) – Qualifying
  • DEST (Data Entry Test): Qualifying
• Paper-II (Only for JSO/Statistical Investigator):
  • Statistics – 100 Qs – 200 Marks

📌 Important Highlights:

• DEST and Computer Proficiency required for posts like ASO (CSS, MEA), Income Tax Inspector, Postal Assistant, Tax Assistant.
• Physical Tests required for posts like CBI SI, NIA SI, Excise Inspector – refer to Annexure XVI & XVII of the notice.
• Aadhaar-based authentication preferred for registration.
