Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Degree from a recognized University.
- Language: Ability to read, write, and speak in Bengali (exemption for Nepali mother tongue).
- Age Limit:
- Group A & C: 21–36 years
- Group B (Police): 20–36 years
- Group D: 21–39 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST (West Bengal): +5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer, West Bengal): +3 years
- PwBD (40%+): Up to 45 years
Candidates must fulfill the required qualifications by the application closing date.
Special Conditions
- Police Service candidates have minimum height requirements.
- Certain posts require training or experience in specific fields (e.g., Social Welfare, Land Revenue, Canal Revenue).
- Knowledge of Bengali may be tested during Personality Test.

Selection Process
1. Written Examination
o Stage 1 – Preliminary Exam (MCQ): Screening test only; marks not counted for final merit.
o Stage 2 – Main Exam (MCQ + Conventional): Marks considered for final merit.
2. Personality Test / Interview
o Conducted in Kolkata for qualified candidates from the Main Exam.
3. Final Merit List
o Based on Main Exam + Personality Test
o Allotment based on merit and candidate preferences
Category-wise Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS: 40%
- OBC-A/B: 38%
- SC: 35%
- ST: 30%
- PwBD: 30%
- MSP: 40%
Negative marking applies for MCQs.
