Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has officially released the OST (Online Screening Test) 2025 Notification for recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), and Primary Teachers (PRT) in Army Public Schools (APS) across India. This is a golden opportunity for teaching aspirants who wish to work in reputed CBSE-affiliated schools managed by Army authorities.

📅 Important Dates for AWES OST 2025

🧑‍🏫 Eligibility Criteria for PGT, TGT, and PRT

1. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

• Education: Master’s degree in relevant subject with 50% aggregate marks

• Professional: B.Ed. from NCTE-recognized institution with 50% marks

2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with 50% aggregate marks (PGs with 50% in PG also eligible)

• Professional: B.Ed. with 50% marks

• CTET/TET: Mandatory at time of appointment (not required for OST)

3. Primary Teacher (PRT)

• Education: Graduation with 50% marks

• Professional: B.El.Ed./D.El.Ed. or B.Ed. (for existing teachers before 11 Aug 2023, with Bridge Course)

• CTET/TET: Required for appointment

⚠️ Candidates can apply for a maximum of three posts (PGT/TGT/PRT), but only one subject per post.

📚 Selection Process

1. Online Screening Test (OST) – Qualifying exam, valid for life

2. Interview – Conducted by respective schools

3. Teaching Skill & Computer Proficiency Evaluation – May include Essay, Comprehension & Proficiency Test

📌 OST-qualified candidates will be given preference during interview and must score at least 50% overall.

📝 Exam Pattern

• Mode: Online (MCQs)

• Duration: 3 Hours

• Total Questions: 200

• Marking Scheme: +1 for correct, -0.25 for wrong answer

Separate question papers will be set for each category (PGT/TGT/PRT). The difficulty level will vary accordingly.

📄 Mock Questions PDF will be uploaded from 01 September 2025 for candidate practice.

📍 Exam Centres (Selected Cities)

Some major centres include: Delhi, Patna, Lucknow, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jabalpur, Chandigarh, and more. Candidates can choose 3 preferences during registration.

💻 How to Apply for AWES OST 2025

1. Visit https://www.awesindia.com

2. Click on "Register for OST 2025"

3. Enter valid Aadhaar, email ID, and mobile number (OTP will be sent)

4. Upload scanned:

   • Photograph

   • Signature

   • 10th Marksheet/Birth Certificate (DOB proof)

   • PwBD certificate (if applicable)

5. Pay fee of ₹385/- through UPI, Credit/Debit Card, or Net Banking

6. Submit and take a printout of your application

⚠️ No modifications allowed in Email, Phone, Post, Stream, Exam Centre after final submission.
