The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has officially released the notification for the 4th Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (CGL-4). A total of 1,481 vacancies are available across various departments in the Bihar State Government. Eligible graduates can apply online from 18th August 2025 to 17th September 2025.

🎓 Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
For specific posts, additional qualifications may apply:

• Planning Assistant / Statistical Assistant: Preference for Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, or Statistics.

• Data Entry Operator: Computer diploma or equivalent (such as BCA, B.Sc IT, PGDCA, etc.) may be required.

🎯 Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025):

• Minimum Age: 21 years

• Maximum Age:

  • UR (Male): 37 years

  • UR Female / BC / EBC (Male & Female): 40 years

  • SC / ST (Male & Female): 42 years

• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Additional 10 years relaxation applicable as per norms.

💰 Application Fee:

• General / BC / EBC / Other State Candidates: ₹540

• SC / ST (Bihar Domicile) & All Female Candidates: ₹135

• Mode of Payment: Online (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, etc.)

📝 Selection Process:

1. Preliminary Examination

   • Objective-type test with 150 questions

   • Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes

   • Sections: General Studies, General Science & Math, Mental Ability

   • Negative marking: 1 mark per wrong answer

2. Main Examination

   • Qualifying Hindi paper (minimum 30% required)

   • General Studies and related subjects

   • Final merit based on Mains score only

💼 Salary / Pay Scale:

• Assistant Branch Officer: Level-7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)

• Auditor / Planning Assistant: Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)

• Junior Statistical Assistant / DEO: Level-5/6 depending on post

3. Upload scanned copies of photo, signature, and necessary documents.

4. Pay the applicable examination fee online.

5. Submit the form and download the final application for reference.
