RGNAU Recruitment 2025 for Professor/Associate/Assistant Professor of Practice

Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU), Fursatganj, Amethi, Uttar Pradesh invites applications for the positions of Professor of Practice, Associate Professor of Practice, and Assistant Professor of Practice on a contractual basis. RGNAU is a Central University established under the Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University Act, 2013, under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India.

These positions are aimed at industry and professional experts with exceptional experience in aviation-related domains.

Post & Remuneration

Note: Remuneration is all-inclusive. Applicable taxes will be deducted at source. No other allowances or benefits are admissible. Payment is on a pro-rata basis depending on actual duration at the University.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Professional Expertise:

• Distinguished experts in fields such as Avionics, Aviation Management, Air Cargo, Air Cargo Operations & Regulations, Logistics, Aviation Finance, Aviation Security, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Customer Relationship in Logistics, and related domains.

2. Experience:

• Professor of Practice: Minimum 15 years of professional experience at senior level.

• Associate Professor of Practice: Minimum 12 years of professional experience.

• Assistant Professor of Practice: Minimum 10 years of professional experience.

3. Academic Qualification:

• Ph.D. not mandatory. Formal academic qualifications are optional if the candidate has exemplary professional practice.

• Candidates are exempt from publications or conventional academic eligibility criteria but must be capable of carrying out academic and administrative duties.

Job Location & Infrastructure

• Posting: RGNAU Campus, Fursatganj, Distt. Amethi, Uttar Pradesh – 229302

• Facilities: Dedicated workplace with computer, internet, and printer for official duties.

Working Hours & Leave

• Office Hours: 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM, Monday to Friday

• May be required to work on weekends/holidays as per exigency (no extra compensation).

• Attendance is mandatory; no work no pay applies.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Development and design of courses and curriculum in aviation-related domains.

2. Delivery of lectures, workshops, seminars, and training programs.

3. Conduct teaching, evaluation, and result publication as per University rules.

4. Maintain discipline among students and staff.

5. Initiate proposals for new programs in aviation.

6. Encourage student innovation and entrepreneurship; provide mentorship.

7. Promote industry-academia collaboration.

8. Conduct joint research projects or consultancy services with faculty.

9. Any other duties assigned by the University.

Tenure

• Initial contract: 1 year, extendable based on performance.

• Maximum tenure: 3 years, extendable by 1 additional year in exceptional cases.

• Candidates must be below 65 years as on the last date of application.

• Engagement is full-time, with no other assignment allowed during the contract.

General Instructions

• The University reserves the right to withdraw or modify the advertisement without prior notice.

• Contractual appointments do not confer permanent employment, seniority, or benefits like HRA, PF, Pension, or LTC.

• Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for all work produced remain with the University.

• Conflicting professional activities are prohibited during engagement.

• Contract can be terminated by either party with 30 days’ notice or payment in lieu.
