Consultant (Public Health Program Analyst, NHM-I, MoH&FW)

National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi, on behalf of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoH&FW), invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Consultant – Public Health Program Analyst (NHM-I) purely on a contractual basis.

This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the public health programs of states and districts across India.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Programme Divisions of MoH&FW to collate inputs/comments on Programme Implementation Plans (PIP) of states for presentation to the National Programme Coordination Committee (NPCC).

  • Liaise with states and Ministry divisions to provide programmatic insights based on data and reports generated under National Health Mission (NHM).

  • Support capacity building at state and district levels for improved health plans using epidemiological and HMIS inputs.

  • Conduct field visits and monitor program implementation and related data collection in states.

  • Collect, collate, and analyse data on health systems strengthening.

  • Interpret data trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.

  • Ensure data quality and integrity through validation checks.

  • Maintain proper documentation and data management.

  • Support development and evaluation of public health interventions.

  • Monitor program performance metrics and assess intervention impact on community health outcomes.

  • Stay updated with public health research and trends to inform data analysis practices.

  • Undertake other assignments as assigned by the reporting authority.


Qualification & Experience

Essential Qualification:

  • B.Tech / M.Tech (CS/IT) or B.E./M.E (CS/IT) or MCA or M.Sc. (CS/IT)

  • Certification in Data Analytics / Business Analytics / Visualization & Reports from a recognised institute (minimum course duration 6 months)

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in data analysis and reporting

  • Experience in preparing management reports and analytics for IT application systems, preferably in the public health domain

  • Experience in integrating and analysing reports from multiple sources

  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills; working knowledge of Hindi is desirable

  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams

  • Experience liaising with state teams and various divisions through effective communication

  • Prior exposure to health programs at the field level or health systems strengthening preferred

  • Willingness to travel to states and districts and handle multiple assignments simultaneously


Other Details

  • Age Limit: 45 years & below

  • Remuneration: β‚Ή60,000 – β‚Ή1,20,000 per month (based on qualification and experience)

  • Work Location: New Delhi, with travel to states and districts required
