Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, invites applications for 1 post each of Data Manager and Infection Control Nurse under the State AMR Surveillance Network and National AIVIR Surveillance Network β IVIAMC Site, Department of Microbiology.
These positions are contractual and co-terminus with the programme. Candidates with prior experience in Healthcare-Associated Infection (HAI) surveillance and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) will be preferred.

Duration: Till 31st March 2026, extendable based on performance and programme funding.
Job Location: Department of Microbiology, MAMC, BSZ Marg, New Delhi (including visits to hospital ICUs, wards, etc.)
Essential Qualifications
Infection Control Nurse:
-
BSc Nursing from a recognized institution, trained in Infection Prevention & Control
OR
-
Diploma in Nursing with at least 1 year of hospital experience (government/private)
Data Manager:
-
BSc in Medical Microbiology / Medical Lab Technology (MLT) / Microbiology / Biotechnology with at least 1-year experience in clinical microbiology/bacteriology laboratory
-
Experience in AMR surveillance preferred
-
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Roles & Responsibilities
Infection Control Nurse:
-
Develop SOPs for infection prevention as per national guidelines
-
Conduct surveillance of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) in ICUs
-
Monitor infection control practices across hospital wards
-
Analyze HAI surveillance data and detect outbreak trends
-
Support investigation of HAI outbreaks
-
Highlight priorities for infection control management
-
Any other programme-related tasks assigned
Data Manager:
-
Coordinate with NCDC AMR programme unit for state-level implementation
-
Liaise with microbiology departments of government/private hospitals for pre-assessment
-
Conduct/assist training of lab technicians on AMR surveillance data management
-
Provide feedback on submitted data and ensure corrections
-
Collate and analyze data to generate annual AMR surveillance report
-
Send AMR data to NCDC
-
Prepare presentations of analyzed data
-
Perform any other assigned programme-related tasks
