The Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur invites applications from eligible non-teaching employees for promotion to the post of Assistant Registrar. The promotion is based on the Recruitment Rules (2019) for Non-Teaching Staff of NITs and IIEST, Shibpur. This is an internal departmental promotion opportunity for qualified staff.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Essential Qualification:

• Master’s degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks or equivalent in CGPA/UGC scale

• Employees serving as:

  • Superintendent (SG-I) / Private Secretary (NFG) in PB-2 GP 5400/- with at least 2 years regular service, or

  • Superintendent (SC-II) / Private Secretary (NFG) in PB-2 GP 4800/- with at least 5 years regular service along with Master’s degree

Desirable Qualification / Experience:

• Management, Engineering, or Law qualification

• Experience working in E-Office system

• Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant for Finance & Accounts role

Other Conditions:

• Must be physically and mentally fit

• Must submit authentic documents and information; false statements will lead to cancellation of candidature

• Mere possession of qualifications does not guarantee promotion

2. Send a signed copy of the application form through proper channel latest by: 30 October 2025, 5:00 PM

Selection Process

• Screening by Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) as per Recruitment Rules

• Institute reserves the right to:

  • Restrict the number of candidates called for further evaluation

  • Not fill the post if deemed necessary

  • Cancel candidature in case of false information

• Age, qualifications, and experience considered as of the last date of application submission

Important Notes

• Reservation rules as per Government of India apply

• Valid caste certificates and PwD certificates (≥40% disability) required

• Correspondence or canvassing leads to disqualification

• Any legal proceedings arising out of this recruitment will be under High Court, Kolkata jurisdiction
