IISER Pune Technical Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026
Educational Qualification
Essential Qualification:
- Post-Graduate degree in Basic / Applied Sciences with Science Communication training,
OR
- Post-Graduate degree in Science Communication / Multimedia / Journalism / related disciplines.
Desirable Qualification:
- Up to 2 years of experience in science communication or related multimedia fields.
Age Limit (As on 28-01-2026)
- Maximum Age: 35 Years
- Age relaxation may be applicable for candidates with higher qualifications and experience as per institute rules.

Preference Will Be Given To Candidates With
- Experience in handling camera and broadcasting equipment (HD cameras, video switchers, audio mixers).
- Knowledge of photo/video editing software and graphic design tools.
- Familiarity with MOOC platforms (NPTEL, e-learning tools).
- Strong communication, leadership, and technical training skills.
Job Responsibilities
The selected Technical Officer will be responsible for:
- Producing MOOC videos for NPTEL (pre-production, shooting, editing).
- Videography and photography for academic and research activities.
- Video editing, color correction, and post-production.
- Operating and maintaining multimedia equipment.
- Supporting multimedia training and e-learning initiatives.
- Traveling for field recording and documentation.
- Managing institutional media content and archives.
IISER Pune Technical Officer Salary 2026
- Monthly Salary: ₹45,000/- (Consolidated)
- No additional allowances or benefits applicable.
- Appointment is purely contractual.
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on performance in the Walk-in Interview.
- Shortlisting may be done if the number of applicants is high.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
