IIIT Sonepat Recruitment 2025 for Assistant Professor (Applied Science – Physics) Post

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sonepat (IIIT Sonepat), an Institute of National Importance established under the Indian Institute of Information Technology (Public-Private Partnership) Act, 2017, has invited applications for the post of Assistant Professor (Applied Science – Physics) on Contract for Fixed Duration (OCFD) basis.

This engagement is purely temporary for teaching B.Tech First Semester classes in the Applied Science (Physics) discipline.

Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification:

  • Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) degrees in the relevant field (Physics/Applied Physics).

  • Ph.D. awarded in the relevant field with a consistently good academic record.

• Desirable Qualification:

  • CSIR/UGC-NET/JRF qualified candidates will be given preference.

• Experience:

  • No minimum teaching experience is required. Fresh Ph.D. holders may also apply.

About the Institute

IIIT Sonepat is an autonomous Institute of National Importance, established in 2014. The Institute currently offers:

• B.Tech programs in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, and CSE (Data Science and Analytics).

• Ph.D. programs in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, ECE, Mathematics, and English.

1. Applicants must carefully read all instructions and ensure eligibility before applying.

2. Candidates must attach self-attested copies of all supporting documents (age proof, educational qualifications, experience, etc.).

3. All degrees must be obtained from recognized universities/institutes.

4. Possession of the minimum qualification does not guarantee selection.

5. The Institute reserves the right to shortlist candidates and decide the mode of selection (written test/interview).

6. Selected candidates must serve at IIIT Sonepat or as directed by the competent authority.

7. The Institute may cancel or modify the recruitment process without assigning reasons.

8. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test/interview.

9. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email ID only.

10. Applications not in the prescribed format or incomplete will be rejected.

11. The Institute is not responsible for postal delays or lost applications.

12. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.
