Short Information : JPSC Drug Inspector Recruitment 2026 Notification has been released by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) for the recruitment of 30 Drug Inspector (औषधि निरीक्षक) posts under the State Drug Control Directorate, Jharkhand.

Eligible candidates with B.Pharm / Pharmaceutical Sciences / MBBS with specialization can apply online from 29 January 2026 to 18 February 2026 (05:00 PM) through the official website www.jpsc.gov.in.

This is a permanent Group-B gazetted government job with attractive salary under Pay Level-9.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:

• Degree in Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Degree in Medicine (MBBS) with specialization in:
• Clinical Pharmacology OR
• Microbiology

As per Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945 (Rule-49).

Experience Requirement

Minimum 18 months to 3 years experience in:

• Drug manufacturing OR
• Drug testing laboratory OR
• Drug inspection work

(As per Schedule-C of Drugs & Cosmetics Rules).

Age Limit (As on 01-08-2024)

Minimum Age: 21 Years

• Pay Band: PB-II ₹9,300 – ₹34,800
• Grade Pay: ₹5,400
• Revised Pay Level: Level-9

Selection Process

Written Examination

• 5 Papers, each of 200 marks
• Duration: 2 hours per paper
• Total Marks: 1000

2.    Microbiology

3.    Pharmacology

4.    Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Biochemistry

5.    Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence & Ethics

• Total: 1100 Marks
