Project Details

Development of Cyber-Physically Enabled Laser-Assisted Low-Pressure Cold Spray (LA-LPCS) Based Repair Methodology for Worn Metallic Components in Mining Machinery

Job Role & Responsibilities
The selected JRF will work on:
- Development and testing of laser-assisted cold spray repair systems
- Conducting experimental trials and system integration
- Working on cyber-physical systems including sensors and data acquisition
- Materials characterization and field testing on mining components
- Preparing technical reports, research papers, and patent documents
Educational Qualification
Essential Qualification
Candidates must have:
- B.E./B.Tech with NET or GATE qualification
OR
- M.E./M.Tech with GATE qualification
in:
- Metallurgical & Materials Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Allied engineering disciplines
Desirable Skills (Preferred)
- Knowledge of thermal spray / cold spray / laser processing
- Experience in experimental mechanics, sensors, or CAD/CAM
- Familiarity with SEM, microhardness testing, profilometry, etc.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 35 years
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PwD candidates as per Government of India and IIT (ISM) rules.
Fellowship / Salary
- ₹37,000 per month (fixed fellowship)
Selection Process
- Applications will be shortlisted based on merit and project needs
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview

- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview
