Short Information : The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially released the JKSSB Constable (Executive) Recruitment Notification 2026 under Advertisement Notification No. 12 of 2025. A total of 1815 vacancies for the post of Constable (Executive Police) have been announced for Jammu and Kashmir Divisions in the Home Department.

Eligible domiciles of Jammu & Kashmir can apply online through the official JKSSB portal from 19 January 2026 to 17 February 2026.

JKSSB Constable Eligibility Criteria 2026

Domicile

• Applicant must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir UT
• Valid domicile certificate required as on 17 February 2026

Educational Qualification

• Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized board
• Qualification must be obtained on or before the last date

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)

Candidate must not be born after 01-01-2007

JKSSB Constable Salary 2026

Candidates selected for the post of Constable (Executive Police) will be appointed under Pay Level-2 as per the 7th Pay Commission.

JKSSB Constable Selection Process 2026

The selection will be conducted in three stages:

1️⃣    Written Examination

• Objective Type (MCQs)
• Language: English only
• Negative Marking: ¼ mark per wrong answer
• NCC Bonus Marks:
• NCC C: 5%
• NCC B: 3%
• NCC A: 2%

2️⃣    Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying

For Male Candidates

• Height: 5’6”
• Chest: 32” (Unexpanded), 33½” (Expanded)

For Female Candidates

• Height: 5’2”

👉 Height relaxation of 2 inches for Gorkha & Bot Tribe candidates

3️⃣      Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Qualifying

Male

• 1600 m race: 6½ minutes
• Push-ups: 20

Female

• 1000 m race: 6½ minutes
• Shot Put (4 kg): 14½ feet (3 attempts)

Relaxation available for Ex-Servicemen as per age slabs
