These lists will remain valid for 2 years and apply to Bombay, Nagpur & Aurangabad benches.

🎓 Educational Qualifications
Stenographer (Higher Grade)
- Degree from a recognized University (Law degree preferred)
- OR 5+ years’ experience as Lower Grade Steno in Court/Tribunal/AG Office
- 100 wpm English Shorthand – GCC / ITI
- 40 wpm English Typing – GCC / ITI / GCC-TBC (MSCE)
- Valid Computer Proficiency Certificate (APTECH / NIIT / MSCIT / CDAC etc.)
Stenographer (Lower Grade)
- Degree from a recognized University (Law preferred)
- OR 3+ years’ experience in Stenography
- 80 wpm English Shorthand – GCC / ITI
- 40 wpm English Typing (GCC / ITI / GCC-TBC)
- Valid Computer Proficiency Certificate

🔍 Selection Process
1️⃣ Shorthand Test (40 Marks)
- Higher Grade: 500-word dictation in 5 minutes
- Lower Grade: 400-word dictation in 5 minutes
- Transcription on Computer
- Passing Marks:
- Higher Grade: 24
- Lower Grade: 20
2️⃣ Typing Test (40 Marks)
- 400-word typing test (10 minutes)
- Minimum passing: 20 marks
3️⃣ Viva-Voce (20 Marks)
- Only for candidates who qualify the Typing Test.

- ₹1,000/- (Non-refundable)
- Payment Mode: SBI Collect (Online only)

2. Go to Recruitment → Stenographer (Higher Grade / Lower Grade)
3. Pay fee via SBI Collect and note the reference number
4. Fill online form with accurate details
5. Upload photo (≤40 KB) and signature (≤40 KB)
6. Select only ONE establishment (Bombay/Nagpur/Aurangabad)
7. Submit form & note Registration ID
8. Take printout (for future document verification)

- Must be Indian Citizen & Maharashtra Domicile
- Must read, write & speak Marathi
- No more than two living children (after 28-03-2005)
- No criminal record; good character
- Not more than one living spouse
