Indian Military Academy (IMA)

  • Unmarried male candidates only
  • Date of birth: Between 2nd July 2002 and 1st July 2007 (inclusive)

Indian Naval Academy

  • Unmarried male candidates only
  • Date of birth: Between 2nd July 2002 and 1st July 2007 (inclusive)

Air Force Academy

  • Age: 20 to 24 years as on 1st July 2026
    • Date of birth: Between 2nd July 2002 and 1st July 2006
  • Relaxation:
    • For candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India)
    • Age limit: Up to 26 years
    • Date of birth: Between 2nd July 2000 and 1st July 2006
  • Marital Status:
    • Candidates below 25 years must be unmarried
    • Marriage not permitted during training
    • Married candidates aged 25 years or above may apply but:
      • Will not be provided married accommodation
      • Cannot live with family during training

Officers' Training Academy (SSC Course for Men)

  • Unmarried male candidates only
  • Date of birth: Between 2nd July 2001 and 1st July 2007 (inclusive)

Officers' Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course)

  • Eligible candidates:
    • Unmarried women
    • Issueless widows (not remarried)
    • Issueless divorcees (not remarried, with valid divorce documents)

Exam Pattern

  • For IMA, INA, and AFA:
    • English: 100 marks
    • General Knowledge: 120 marks
    • Elementary Mathematics: 100 marks
    • Total: 300 marks

For OTA:

  • English: 100 marks
  • General Knowledge: 100 marks
  • Total: 200 marks

Marking Scheme: One mark for each correct answer; one-third mark deducted for each wrong answer.

How to Apply:

    • Read the General Instructions, Profile/Module-wise Instructions, and Document Upload Instructions before filling the form.
  3. Submission Requirements:
    • Candidates must provide correct details and upload supporting documents (e.g., date of birth, education).
    • Incomplete applications or missing documents may lead to cancellation of candidature.
  4. No Changes Allowed:
    • No request for preference changes or form corrections will be accepted after submission and closure of the application window.
  5. Responsibility of Accuracy:
    • Candidates must fill in details carefully and accurately.
    • UPSC will not entertain queries or corrections post-submission.
  6. Government Employees:
    • Candidates in government service, including Armed Forces, PSUs, etc., must apply online and inform their Head of Office/Department in writing.
  7. Armed Forces Candidates:
    • Must inform their Commanding Officer in writing.
    • Also required to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the SSB interview.
  8. Employer Objection:
    • If the Commission receives a communication from the employer withholding permission, the application may be rejected.
  9. Application Fee:
    • Applications without the prescribed fee (unless fee remission is claimed) or incomplete applications will be rejected without appeal.
  10. No Certificate Submission at Application Stage:
    • Do not submit certificates (age, qualification, caste, fee remission) at the application stage.
  11. Eligibility Compliance:
    • Ensure that all eligibility conditions are met before applying.
  12. Provisional Admission:
    • Admission to written exam and interview is provisional and subject to eligibility verification at any stage.
  13. Candidature Cancellation:
    • If at any stage it is found that the candidate does not meet eligibility criteria, the candidature will be cancelled.
