Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2026 – 25,000+ Vacancies, Apply Online

Short Information : The Indian Army has officially released the Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2026 Notification on 12th February 2026 at the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in. The online registration process has started from 13th February 2026 and will continue till 1st April 2026.

Through this recruitment drive under the Agnipath Scheme, more than 25,000 vacancies (expected) will be filled for various posts including Agniveer General Duty (GD), Technical, Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, Tradesman, and Women Military Police.

Eligible unmarried male and female candidates can apply online through the official portal.

Indian Army Agniveer Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification (Post-wise)

Agniveer General Duty (GD)

• 10th Pass with 45% aggregate
• Minimum 33% in each subject

Agniveer Technical

• 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Maths & English
  OR
• 10th Pass + 2 Year ITI Course

Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical

• 10+2 (Any Stream) with 60% aggregate
• 50% in each subject
• English & Maths/Accounts mandatory

Agniveer Tradesman

• 8th or 10th Pass
• Minimum 33% in each subject

Age Limit

Candidates must be born between:

01 October 2005 to 01 April 2009 (both dates inclusive)

Selection Process

The selection process consists of two phases:

Phase I – Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE)

• Objective type (MCQ) computer-based test
• Full marks for correct answers
• No marks for unattempted questions

Clerk/SKT Candidates:

• Must qualify Online Typing Test (30 WPM desirable)

Phase II – Recruitment Rally

1️⃣      Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

For GD & Tradesman (Marks Added to Merit):

• 1.6 Km Run – Up to 60 Marks
• Pull-Ups – Up to 40 Marks
• 9 Feet Ditch & Zig-Zag Balance – Qualifying

For Technical & Clerk:

• Only qualifying in physical tests (no marks added)

2️⃣      Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

• Height
• Weight
• Chest (as per category standards)

3️⃣      Medical Examination

• Conducted by Army Medical Team
• Review allowed within 21 days if declared temporarily unfit

Final Merit List

Final selection will be based on:

• CEE Marks
• Bonus Marks (NCC / Sports / ITI / Diploma)

Bonus Marks:

• Technical: Up to 50 Marks (ITI/Diploma)
• Other Categories: Up to 25 Marks
