Central University of Karnataka (CUK), Kalaburagi, invites applications for the recruitment of Contractual Faculty in the Department of Physics. This engagement is purely temporary for one semester or until further orders. Interested and eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview scheduled for 18 July 2025.

💼 Remuneration:

No additional allowances, medical reimbursement, or vacation salary will be provided.

📘 Minimum Eligibility Criteria (as per UGC norms):

• Master’s Degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant subject.

• Must have cleared UGC/CSIR NET or Ph.D. in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009/2016).

• Ph.D. candidates registered before 11 July 2009 must fulfill specific exemption conditions (thesis evaluation, publications, etc.).

• Candidates with Ph.D. from a top 500 world-ranked foreign university (as per QS/THE/ARWU rankings) are also eligible.

⚠️ General Instructions:

• This is a contractual position only for teaching during the semester.

• Applicants must bring original certificates, mark sheets, and experience proofs at the time of interview.

• Retired teachers under 65 years of age may also apply.

• Selected candidates must join within 1 week of selection.

• There is no provision for regular appointment or experience certificate after the engagement ends.

🔍 Additional Notes:

• OBC candidates must submit a recent (within 6 months) non-creamy layer certificate as per central government format.

• PWD candidates must have minimum 40% disability supported by valid certificate.
