District Health & Family Welfare Samiti (DH&FWS), Paschim Bardhaman has released a recruitment notification (Memo No: DH&FWS/ASL/23-24/2022, dated 05 December 2025) inviting online applications for various contractual positions under the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM).
Eligible candidates from West Bengal can apply online from 07 December 2025 for posts including Staff Nurse, Laboratory Technician, Pharmacist, and Community Health Assistant (Urban).

🎓 Educational Qualifications (Post-wise)
✔ Staff Nurse
- GNM training from INC/WBNC recognized institute OR B.Sc. Nursing.
- Must be registered under West Bengal Nursing Council.
- Proficiency in local language mandatory.
✔ Laboratory Technician
- 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics.
- DMLT from WB State Medical Faculty/AICTE recognized institute.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Internet).
✔ Pharmacist
- Two-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D-Pharma – Allopathic).
- Must be registered as “A” category Pharmacist under West Bengal Pharmacy Council.
- Higher qualification will carry weightage.
- Proficiency in Bengali + computer efficiency required.
- Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
✔ Community Health Assistant (Urban)
- Passed ANM/GNM course from INC-recognized institute.
- Registered with WB Nursing Council.
- Must be proficient in Bengali & a permanent resident of the concerned district.
🎂 Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025)
Staff Nurse: Upper age limit 64 years
Lab Technician: Upper age limit 40 years
Pharmacist: 21 to 40 years
Community Health Assistant: 18 to 40 years
Age relaxation as per Government norms.
💰 Monthly Remuneration
- Staff Nurse: ₹25,000/-
- Laboratory Technician: ₹22,000/-
- Pharmacist: ₹22,000/-
- CHA-Urban: ₹13,000/-
📝 Selection Process & Marks Distribution
1. Staff Nurse – Total Marks: 100
- Proportionate to % of marks in GNM/B.Sc Nursing.
2. Laboratory Technician – Total Marks: 100
- DMLT % (85 marks)
- Computer Test (15 marks)
3. Pharmacist – Total Marks: 100
- Academic (Proportionate):
- M.Pharma – 85
- B.Pharma – 75
- D.Pharma – 65
- Computer Test: 15 marks (min. 50% qualifying)
4. Community Health Assistant – Total Marks: 100
- Proportionate to % of marks in ANM/GNM
💳 Application Fee
- UR: ₹100
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD: ₹50
- Payment Mode: Online only
Fee is non-refundable.

2. Register with valid mobile number & email ID.
3. Fill the online application form carefully.
4. Upload required documents & photograph.
5. Pay the application fee online.
6. Download and save the registration form for document verification.
(No need to send hard copy by post.)
📌 Other Important Instructions
- Only permanent residents of West Bengal are eligible.
- Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
- Valid caste certificate of West Bengal is mandatory for reservation.
- Only Aadhaar / Voter ID / Passport accepted as photo & address proof.
- Age proof must be from WBBSE or equivalent recognized board.
- If marks are same, preference will be given to older candidates.
- Vacancies may increase or decrease as per decision of DLSC.
- Candidates must regularly check wbhealth.gov.in for updates.
- Final panel will remain valid for one year from approval date.
